Futures strategies, raced on real futures prices
- History shows what the strategies did. Real daily Bitcoin and Ether futures prices since August 2020, with funding and fees, backtested with hindsight.
- Liquidation and the exchange are the risks. A futures position that falls far enough is closed by the exchange and its margin is lost; none of the seven futures strategies was liquidated in any test we ran. An exchange can also fail and freeze its customers’ money (FTX in 2022), or close positions to cover others.
- Compare with spot. Every futures product earns less than spot Vooum Flagship did over the same years; the switch at the top goes back to Spot.
Each racer is a futures strategy, driven by a character. Every racer starts with the same money at the start line (you set the amount below); distance is how much it has grown. Results include trading fees (0.10% a side on contract legs, 0.15% on spot legs, above the exchange's own), funding paid and received, and measured costs; the race starts on 1 Aug 2020, when the futures data begins.

A mix splits its money equally between them at the start line, then each strategy works its own way. Your racers are tests on past prices, not published racers: their signals are the racers’ own legs, sized for the mix, under Get signals (only each racer’s own signals are sealed). The garage, with its drivers and cars, is kept in this browser only: another browser, device or private window opens its own garage, so its standings and its Get signals list can differ from these.
